Why Ink and Insights Matters

A Crucial Moment

Youth aging out of foster adoptive care and other youth protective services face significant barriers to healing and self-advocacy. Without access to safe spaces for processing trauma and expressing themselves, they're at heightened risk of homelessness, unemployment, and disconnection. Ink and Insights is part of Scribe's answer—creating pathways for young people to heal, grow, and be heard.

The Healing Power of Journaling

At this event, young people will engage in guided journaling and creative expression activities designed to support healing, self-discovery, and voice reclamation. Journaling isn't just therapeutic; it's transformative. It helps young people process their experiences, develop self-awareness, and claim their narratives on their own terms.

"Together, we can help young people move from surviving to being seen, heard, and supported."

— Dr. Shelitha Lisa Peppers, Founder and CEO
